Fandom does have a well-documented reaction to slick businessbeings and other such exploitative types coming in and treating us like yokels who aren't aware that the rocks we're ploughing out of our vegetable patch are gold nuggets. Generally it's along the lines of "dude, we know they're gold nuggets. They still make it hard to grow the veges.
