Meggy Birfday Loot
So, I had my birthday on Sunday, and I got lots of stuff from various folks. For those who are curious, the list is under the cut:
$30 Dymocks book voucher
$100 Borders book voucher
$100 White Dwarf book voucher (specialist science fiction/fantasy bookshop in Perth)
Small box Roses chocolates
Volume 9 FullMetal Alchemist anime
Volume 13 FullMetal Alchemist anime
FullMetal Alchemist novel number 2 (The Abducted Alchemist)
FullMetal Alchemist novel number 3 (The Valley of White Petals)
4 CD Set The Cambridge Buskers Collection
Genuine Sony PS1 memory card (which will hopefully work on the PS2)
Then we went out shopping today to redeem things. Here's what I wound up with:
From White Dwarf:
Code Noir by Marianne De Pierres Crash Deluxe by Marianne De Pierres The Gambler's Fortune by Juliet E McKenna The Warrior's Bond by Juliet E McKenna The Assassin's Edge by Juliet E McKenna
Loveless manga volume 7 FullMetal Alchemist manga volumes 2 - 7
Biting the Bullet by Jennifer Rardin Sprig Muslin by Georgette Heyer Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll (Penguin classic omnibus version).
I also stopped in at Game Traders, and picked up a copy of Crisis Core (the US edition - Australia has to wait for the European version to hit our shores before it's going to be available anywhere other than specialist Squeenix fanatic gaming stores, unfortunately) and a PSP. And I've started playing through it (despite the lack of an SD memory card to store games on - this appears to be something of a persistent problem for me with FF7 related games!). My first comments: "If this is going to be a faithful echo of the first Avalanche mission, I'm going to be cross!" closely followed by "Zack, you dork!".
Yeah, I like it.
So it's been a happy birthday for me all round, and tomorrow I get to head on down to the Post Office to pick up a parcel which was delivered to there for me. New clothes, yay!
